Källa: Trafikanalys officiella fordonsstatistik (tabellerna T10030 och T10036), som uppdateras månadsvis med cirka tre veckors eftersläpning. Andelarna för 2017 till 2020 är beräknade från Trafikanalys månatliga nyregistreringar per drivmedel, eftersom det officiella andelsmåttet bara finns på månadsnivå från 2021. Diagrammet markerar fyra viktiga förändringar av elbilsstödet och bilbeskattningen. Bonus-malus-systemet infördes i juli 2018, fordonsskatten höjdes och började beräknas på WLTP-värden i januari 2020, klimatbonusen höjdes till 70 000 kronor i april 2021 och klimatbonusen slopades för bilar beställda efter den 8 november 2022.
